The Long Drive photography by Piers Fitton
I had to leave, this exhaustion taken it's toll
I put my keys in the ignition and said goodbye.
Ready to roll.
I didn't care if my family ever saw me again.
I left a note.
It read "This is the end."
Was this the same sun in the sky or is this -all pretend.
Just me and my shadow riding shotgun.
My only friend
Sitting on my cushioned second skin. The leather cracking where it bends
Gazes from his enemies, no care to make amends
you'll never know which way he stares behind that tinted lense
Down this one way highway.
Blue was the day
Igniting inside from Inhaling fumes while He tries to walk away.
